BMW Begins Local Assembly of Mini Countryman in the Chennai Plant

BMW Introduced the Luxury Brand Mini Last year in India. Mini brand has got an overwhelming response from the customers. BMW didn’t expect this much sales for Mini.  Countryman got the most number of sales from the Mini portfolio in India and BMW couldn’t keep up with the Response. Now BMW has started the Local Assembly of Mini Countryman in India. Along with the Local Assembly operations Mini has introduced diesel engine variants for the Countryman. Mini Cooper D Countryman and Mini Cooper D Countryman High. Mini has also introduced a new entry level petrol variant called One countryman.

This is the first time BMW assemble Mini outside Europe. Mini Cooper,Cooper S, Cooper convertible and Cooper S country man will be imported as CBU. Price of the Locally Assembled Mini variants have reduced. Now Mini One Countryman is priced at RS 23.5 Lakhs, Mini Cooper D Countryman at RS 25.6 Lakhs and Mini Cooper D Countryman high at RS 28.9 Lakhs ( Ex-showroom India ). With the introduction of Diesel and reduced prices Mini brand will even more popular in India and we could see More Mini in our roads.
